Talents
Today five of the senior nursing majors took a little trip down to the Good Sheppard Clinic after lunch. We met the famous Nurse Margaret, who we have heard so much about. She has been a nurse for 51 years and she was so inspiring to me. She didn't just talk about nursing, her job, or her life. What she did talk about I found very profound. Margaret reminded of us of the story in the Bible about the master giving his three slaves talents. When he returned from his journey two of the slaves had multiplied their talents. The third buried it because he said his master "was a hard man." The point Margaret wanted to make with this parable is, that we should not hide our talents. We each have all been given wonderful gifts that God wants us to use for his glory.
