This is the blog of 18 MVNU senior colloquium students, 1 computer networking student (Mary), 3 collaborators (Beth, Kristy and Doug), and Jim Skon, "The professor", made as we all experienced 23 wonderful days in Belize, and each other.

Touch a live Jaguar!
Yes - I did! Only at the Belize Zoo! For a fee ($50US) the zoo keeps will take a group of 5 people (seen in another entry) into the Jaguar cage while the Jaguar is otherwise kept away, and put you in a small "cage in a cage". While in the cage, under the supervision of the zoo-keeper, you can interact with the Jaguar, including (carefully) feeding him, petting him, and touching his huge paws! The Jaguar, named Junior, was simply magnificent!
While we were there, a videographer from PBS was working on a documentary film. We benefited from this in that the zoo-keepers were helping them set up shots by placing food around the cage.
